Brief Scope

IWG designed and built the most innovative and technologically savvy cable broad casting system in the Middle East. Relying on our extensive background in electrical, computer, and civil engineering, we developed the first piece of modern television and satellite communications in Iraq.

Overlooking the rugged landscape of the northern mountains, this broadcast and satellite channel constructed on a 6,000 mwould include six full studios to create and develop original content. Featuring the latest cutting-edge satellite technology, IWG designed a facility that shines alongside the new media giants in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. The studios were furnished with a complete broadcasting and studio systems including, HD studio camera system, digital video switcher, character generator and graphic, sync pulse gen., TBC/Frame synchronizer, audio equipment, intercom system, soundproof walls, SNG, and flyway SNG. 

Honor Camp Military Barracks in International Zone

Brief Scope

Faced with the growing demand for housing for the military, IWG was awarded a contract to design and construct a 5000 m2 barracks. Not only did this undertaking require our engineering and technical skill due to the project’s requirements, but also the recruitment of over 1000 workers and craftsmen to complete and deliver the project as scheduled. Providing modern facilities for the military and the logistical support of troops’ housing, gave us the chance to support the mission of bringing stability and progress to Iraq.

Sadr City Water Treatment Plant

Brief Scope

The most fundamental building block for any civilization is a source of clean, drinkable water. The water treatment facility was built using IWG parts, labor and know-how. Our engineers designed the installation of pumping 40,000 cubic meters of pure water, supplying the needs of thousands. We provided most of the electrical and mechanical equipment to the site, and supervised this project from its earliest phases. We provided most of the electrical instruments, PLC panels, MCC panels, transformers, HT switchgears, HT generators and mechanical equipment to the site such as GRP pipes, motorized valves, filters, submersible pumps, and reciprocating pumps. IWG also programmed the control system using SCADA software. Working with the Parson Corporation, this undertaking represents the largest of its kind in all of Iraq.

Prefabrication Modularized Facilities Degassing Stations D6, D7 & D8

Brief Scope

IWG engineers and workforce designed, supplied, and prefabricated 5000 mmodular offices at West Qurna-1 Degassing Stations D6, D7 & D8. The scoop of work included supply and installation of power generation plant, office supplies, distribution panels, skid mounted facilities, security check points and fence, sewage and plumbing systems, and all site cabling and lighting. This design/build development project was completed with an integrated delivery approach. Our team focused on placing full accountability for architecture, engineering, and construction with one entity. West Qurna is one of Iraq’s largest oil fields, and it is located north of Rumaila oil field west of Basra. West Qurna-1 is a 9.1 billion barrel oil field in Iraq. ExxonMobil is the operator of the field and has 25% of the field’s stake.
